No rain can touch us now | 2008This inflatable polyethylene sculpture was made during a residency at the Banff Centre in 2008. Conceived for the collective Unconstrained Growth into the Void (Rafael Rodriguez Cruz (MEX), Matt Crookshank (CAN), Miruna Dragan (US/NL), Jason de Haan (CAN), Meghann Riepenhoff (US), and myself), I asked members to enter the pods and engage in conversation. Plastic drop sheets were cut according to a hexagonal-shaped pattern and then sealed. Inflated with a household oscillating fan, the truncated pods were joined together in a circular formation – providing a temporary shelter and membrane for the collective to sit and share in.
